Hot Chocolate Dippers

The best gifts are homemade (and made with chocolate)!

Hot chocolate is hands down one of my favorite indulgences during the winter season. It’s a warm, rich treat that everyone can enjoy. My go-to hot chocolate is a peppermint powder mix that my mom could only find at Sam’s club when we were growing up. Every year she gives us a new giant container of it for Christmas. I’ve still got some leftover from last year, but I decided to switch it up a little bit this year with hot chocolate dippers.

These hot chocolate dippers are adorable and would make great gifts! My favorite part about making them was playing around with different flavors. I made a classic milk chocolate, s’mores cocoa, and a white chocolate mocha. In the future I think I’ll add a cinnamon infused Mexican hot chocolate dipper too! To use them, just stir in a glass of hot milk 🙂

If you are wanting to use these as a gift, wrap them up in pretty treat bags and tie with ribbon. Include a note with instructions on how to use too!

Special tools needed for dippers: Molds of some kinds. I used shot glasses. Small plastic dixie cups or mini muffin tins would work as well. You will also need popsicle sticks and lots of festive sprinkles!

Tips for removing dippers from molds:

Be careful not the pull or twist too hard! You could end up breaking the popsicle stick. To get my dippers out of the molds, I let the molds sit on the counter for about 10 minutes. Then I warmed the shot glasses up with my hands and the dippers pulled out easily. The S’mores dippers will stick a little bit because the fluff in gooey!
